With the majesty of Terra shining through, it’s hard not to be impressed by these new miniatures. They present a fantastic opportunity for Legio Custodes enthusiasts who are eager to engage in battle against the Warmaster. The Emperor’s elite defenders have reached a new level of aesthetic excellence.
At the forefront of this upcoming release is the Legio Custodes Battle Group box set—a robust collection that essentially serves as a small army. It’s the perfect starting point for anyone looking to establish a new Custodes force. Let’s delve into what this set includes:
The fresh Custodian Guard models exemplify the iconic look we associate with the Custodians: towering figures wielding guardian spears, adorned with high plumed helmets, and clad in resplendent golden armor. The new Custodes Battle Group will feature a stunning plastic Contemptor model packed into the set. This versatile figure can be assembled as either a Contemptor-Achillus, armed with the signature Achillus dreadspear, or as a Contemptor-Galatus, equipped with a Galatus warblade and praesidium shield. This duality offers two distinct types of Dreadnoughts, each serving unique roles on the battlefield: the Contemptor-Achillus inflicts a damaging 3 with its spear, making it a nightmare for enemy armor, while the Contemptor-Galatus excels in crowd control thanks to its flamer weapons, warblade, and additional durability from the shield. The best part? Its poseability allows for dynamic and impressive stances.
